Why I made the guide

It all started because people I love have been the victims of violence at the hands of men, both women and children. I was a child at the time and could not do anything to help.

Years later in my adult life I decided to study for a LLB because I wanted to be an advocate for women and children who experienced domestic violence.

I then made the guide because I wanted to give women real advice and practical options of how to free themselves from their situation, and give them the knowledge they may need to get out. Because abusers often make the victim feel isolated, not only on the outside but inside their own minds. And I wanted to give them the power back, the power to have options.
